Your images are silent.

A typical store: thousands of images that say nothing — to Google, to AI shoppers, to anyone who needs them read aloud. Silent images don’t sell. Yours are counted in minutes, free.

Free forever audit · No credit card · Nothing touches your store until you approve

Sample scan — yours takes minutes, free.

See it work

The whole thing, in seventy seconds.

Scan, write, speak — what the free audit grades, what the review queue puts in front of you, and what your images say once they’re done.

No sound needed. Nothing in it touches a store until you approve it.

The task that never gets done

Nobody sits down to describe 3,000 images.

So it never gets done — it’s the job that gets deleted from every to-do list, every quarter, in every store.

And because nobody’s counting, you can’t even say how bad it is.

That last part we can fix in minutes.

To-do

  • Write alt text for product imagesQ1 → Q2
  • Alt text — at least the bestsellersQ2 → Q3
  • Image descriptions?? (ask VA)Q3 → Q4
  • Alt text (for real this time)Q4 → …

Find out how bad it is4 min

Every store’s to-do list. Only one line ever gets checked.

One villain, three prices

Silence charges you three ways

One problem, stacked three deep. Fix the silence once and all three bills stop.

LOST TRAFFIC

Google skips them

An image with no description never enters image search. The traffic goes to the store next door whose pictures speak.

LOST AGENTIC SALES

AI shoppers can’t read them

Shopping agents browse your catalog raw. A silent image doesn’t exist to them — and neither does the product.

ACCESSIBILITY RISK

Screen readers get nothing

The EAA has had ecommerce in scope since June 2025; ADA suits hit thousands of US stores a year. Unreadable images are your most visible gap.

The checkbox problem

100% alt text coverage, still silent.

Every bloated SEO suite has an alt-text checkbox. A checkbox stuffs titles into alt fields and calls it done. It doesn’t write like this:

Before — “covered”

alt="IMG_2041-final-v3.jpg"

alt="buy mens organic tee best price free shipping SEO"

Junk from filenames and keyword stuffing. Counted as 100% coverage — by the tool that wrote it.

After — Image Voice

alt="Moss-green organic cotton tee folded flat, showing the ribbed collar and embroidered leaf at the hem"

Every image actually looked at. Distinct per image, ~125 characters, never starts with “image of.”

That’s why the free audit grades instead of counting: missing / junk / weak / good, with a vision-checked sample. Typical result: “62 of 100 covered images don’t describe the image.” Run it on your store and read the sample yourself — the grade is the proof, not our word for it.

Scan. Write. Speak.

How Image Voice writes your alt text

  1. Scan

Free, on install, no setup. Your silent-image count in one number — graded, not counted.

  2. Write

Every image actually looked at. Approve, edit, or skip from a keyboard queue built for 200 decisions in a sitting.

  3. Speak

Auto-pilot you earn — offered only when your own approval record justifies it. Then every new image is described within minutes of upload, forever.

Audit → approval → earned autonomy. This is how every Leaf app works.

What you get

What changes when your images stop being silent

Not a feature list — a timeline. Here’s what actually happens, from the minute you install.

Minute one

You install. Nothing to configure.

You’ll know the truth in minutes — free, before you decide anything.

Full scan on install, no setup. The number: “2,451 of your images are silent.”

You’ll find out what’s actually broken — not what looks done.

Graded, not counted: missing / junk / weak / good, with a vision-checked sample. You stop being fooled by “100% coverage” — yours or a competitor tool’s.

The first sitting

One coffee. The whole catalog reviewed.

Writing you’d let a customer hear aloud.

Every image actually looked at — never generated from titles or filenames. No spam smell, nothing to be embarrassed by, nothing for Google to penalize.

Your images speak the language your customers shop in.

Descriptions written in your store’s own language — EN, DE, FR, ES, IT, NL, PT, JA, KO. A German customer’s screen reader speaks German.

You stay in control without doing the work.

Nothing touches Shopify until you say so. Bulk-apply when you’ve seen enough: “apply the remaining 1,750?” Your whole catalog reviewed in one coffee.

From then on

The job leaves your head.

Eventually, you never think about it again.

New product uploaded → described within minutes. A weekly digest instead of a to-do list. The job leaves your head permanently.

The quality won’t rot after you stop watching.

Weekly re-scans keep the number true; writing quality is gated against a golden set. What you approved on day one is what you get in month six.

Alt text and EAA / ADA accessibility: the box closed before anyone comes asking.

EAA in the EU, ADA in the US. Your most visible gap — thousands of unreadable images — closed, with an audit trail to show for it.

You’ll wear the result.

“Fully described since 3 March” — earned, not bought, on every plan including free. Visible proof you run a tight store.

Before any money moves

Silent images are one leak. The rest of the Leaf suite goes after the others →

Due diligence

The questions we’d ask too

Can it break my store?

No. It is structurally unable to touch anything but the alt field, every write is verified by reading it back, and every change has a 30-day undo on every plan — with a full before → after trail. It never overwrites words a human wrote, and theme-settings images it can’t reach are flagged with a deep link instead of failing silently.

Will it slow my store down?

No — it never touches your theme and adds no script to your storefront. It writes alt fields through Shopify’s API and nothing else. Zero front-end weight, zero performance impact.

What happens to alt text my team already wrote?

Nothing, unless you say so. It never overwrites words a human wrote. The audit grades your existing descriptions — good ones stay, weak ones get flagged with a suggested rewrite, and every decision is yours.

What does it need access to?

Products and their images, blog articles and theirs, and your published theme — it reads theme files because that’s where banner and section images live. What it can write is the alt field and nothing else, structurally. No orders, no customers, no payment data.

What happens if I uninstall?

The descriptions are yours — alt text lives in your Shopify store, not in our app, so everything you approved stays exactly where it is. App data tied to your store is deleted in line with Shopify’s mandatory data-erasure webhooks, within 48 hours of Shopify’s request.

Isn’t AI alt text spammy?

It earned that reputation — we’ve opened catalogs where every description began “image of” and ended in a keyword pile, worse than empty because it looks done. That’s exactly what Image Voice is built against: it looks at every image, writes ~125 distinct characters, never starts with “image of,” and grades the junk that’s already there so you can see the difference on your own store, free.

Show all 16 questions
Can’t I just have ChatGPT write my alt tags?

For 20 images? Honestly, yes. At 3,000 it breaks: nothing grades what’s already junk, nothing verifies each write, nothing catches the product you upload next Tuesday, and nobody’s watching when it silently stops. Image Voice is the difference between writing alt text once and having it handled — graded, verified, undoable, forever.

How do I know the quality won’t rot after I subscribe?

Two mechanisms. Writing quality is gated against a fixed golden set — no update can silently degrade what you approved. And a weekly re-scan keeps your number true, catching anything that slips past webhooks. Day-one quality is month-six quality, by construction.

Can I edit what it writes?

Every description, before it touches your store — approve, edit, or skip from a keyboard queue built for 200 decisions in a sitting. And for 30 days after, everything is still undoable.

Does alt text actually matter for sales?

Three ways, honestly weighted. Google image search only surfaces images it can read — silent images simply aren’t in the race. AI shopping agents read your catalog as text; an undescribed image doesn’t exist to them. And screen-reader customers hear your products or hear nothing. We won’t tell you it 10×’s traffic — it closes a leak that’s costing you a little, everywhere, forever.

Does this make me EAA / ADA compliant?

No tool can promise that, and we won’t. What it does is close your most visible gap — thousands of unreadable images — with an audit trail to show for it. EAA has had ecommerce in scope since June 2025 in the EU; ADA suits hit thousands of US stores a year.

Which languages does it write in?

Your store’s own language: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Japanese, and Korean. Your image SEO works in your market — and a German customer’s screen reader speaks German.

I already have an SEO app with alt text included.

Run the free audit on what it wrote — that’s the honest test. Most “included” alt text is your product title copied into the alt field: 100% coverage, still silent. The audit grades instead of counting, so you’ll see in minutes whether what you have describes anything. If it’s genuinely good, we’ll be the ones telling you.

What’s a First Sweep, and what does the monthly allowance cover?

The First Sweep writes your existing backlog up front, in days — you’re not rationed over months. After that, the monthly allowance only has to keep up with new images. On Curator the sweep covers the whole store, theme included.

Which images are covered — just products?

Keeper covers your product catalog. Curator covers the whole store — theme images, banners, sliders, section imagery. The audit shows you both numbers, so you’ll know which tier your store actually needs before paying.

My catalog is huge — 20,000+ images.

The First Sweep goes after the images that need it — missing and junk descriptions first, not a blind pass over everything you own. And if Curator’s ceiling still isn’t enough for a catalog your size, write to us and we’ll happily work something out. That conversation is cheaper for both of us than a plan that doesn’t fit.

Run the free scan. See your number.

Two futures: your catalog stays mute while the image traffic and the AI shoppers go next door — or every image speaks, and you never think about it again.
